Long story short: my mom has a basement apartment for rent and got some people to rent it. She did the whole thing by verbal agreement (No paperwork) and a few house rules. Yeah, I know... stupid.

Every now and then they would get into an argument/fights just because a few house rules got broken. They would make noise/hitting doors/and shit all the time, even at nights like 3 am. I think she even called the cops at least 3 times.

One time, the tentants failed to pay rent and my mom tried to evict them but failed to do so because.... yeah.. no paperwork. So the tentants gave her house a free paint job to cover the cost of the debt. Very shoddy work if you ask me.

Today, they just moved out and I was curious to see if they did any sort of damage. I would list every detail but this forum does not support spoiler tags so I'll just leave you the videos to watch instead.

I expected a raccoon to jump out and start eating your face at the part with the flashlight.

Hm, say it was a robbery and press charges? There's no paperwork to indicate an agreement between two people, so in theory they could be unwelcomed guests at any moment. I don't know Canadian law though.

How's that any different from the US? Hell, they can deny it, be found guilty at trial, and receive that sort of punishment.
